Tyson-Stockton“I have been taking singing and speech lessons with Maryse for a year and ten months. When I started taking lessons with her I could not sing nor match a notes, but with her expertise and encouragement I can now sing three octaves. I am also singing difficult songs in English and French.

Maryse has been very supportive as to my goals and dreams and I am also very thankful for her emotional support and her faith in me along the way.

I love this teacher and would encourage anyone to take lessons with her.”

Jessica-Wampler“Within 4 vocal lessons I improved more than I had with 2 years of lessons with another coach. Also having taken her Artist Way class as well, she kicked my butt into gear. I left a soul sucking job without another lined up and ended finding a job that was more up my alley and has made me happy. The support you get from her is unparalleled. She has more faith in you than you could ever have. It was a wonderful experience and has changed my life greatly.”

Hannah Hall“Having taken every class Maryse has to offer, I can honestly say there is nothing this woman cannot do. Maryse is a caring, challenging and encouraging teacher, and will get you where you want to go faster than anyone else. When I started taking piano lessons with her I was at a grade 2 level, and it only took a matter of months for her to get me to grade 8. Because of all the things she’s taught me, particularly the enlightening Artists Way class, I’ve been able to start performing as a musician myself. If you want to play piano or guitar well, develop your voice, or simply find your creative self, Maryse is the perfect person to call.”

Nancy Blair“When I took the Artist’s Way with Maryse, I needed to shine some light in dark places. I had little knowledge of the course and none of Maryse. I came blind. However, I really enjoyed the people in my class, the exercises, and the way Maryse used gentle encouragement and humour to encourage us to express ourselves and our interests and passions more freely. Now I find that I am more aware of and comfortable with my artistic side, and certainly I am more determined to honour and satisfy it. I now sing in choirs and take voice lessons – a big stretch for me, but I am loving it. What’s next?”

Zachary Throne“My name is Zachary Throne and I took Maryse Schembri’s “Artist’s Way” class in Vancouver, Canada. This course was one of the easiest, most fun, most playful times I had ever had. Maryse was a wonderful teacher, coaxing all of us into an environment of play and discovery that always felt safe. I unleashed the inner child…my inner artist..the boy who used to play and create all day long without caring about what other people thought. The course brought everyone back to that time when we were all little children and the joy was in the process of creating. I surprised myself with the things that came out of me! I didn’t recognize any of the work as my own! I highly recommend this course for anyone and EVERYONE who is either blocked creatively or has dreams of being an artist. This course will unlock you. All the best !”

Leigh Maree“Maryse is a great teacher. She has a lot of positive energy and helps you find your own sound. Her Artist’s Way class is also very helpful in bringing out creativity and overcoming blocks. Singing jazz songs with her trained my voice well and opened up another way of singing for me.”
